Decent
WWE 2K22 is the latest installment in the long-running WWE video game series. As a fan of both wrestling and video games, I was excited to dive into this new release and see what it had to offer. However, after spending several hours with WWE 2K22, I have to say that it is a mixed bag of wrestling action.

One of the first things I noticed about WWE 2K22 was the improved graphics. The character models look more realistic than ever before, and the arenas are beautifully detailed. The attention to detail in the wrestlers' movements and facial expressions is also impressive. However, while the visuals are a step up, the overall presentation of the game feels lacking. The menus are clunky and unintuitive, and the commentary during matches often feels repetitive and stale.

In terms of gameplay, WWE 2K22 offers a decent wrestling experience. The controls are easy to pick up, and the variety of moves available allows for some exciting and dynamic matches. The inclusion of a new momentum system adds an extra layer of strategy, as well as a sense of realism to the matches. However, the AI can be frustratingly inconsistent. Sometimes, opponents put up a good fight and provide a challenge, but other times, they seem completely clueless and make questionable decisions.

The game modes in WWE 2K22 offer a decent amount of content, but they lack innovation and fail to deliver anything truly exciting. The MyCareer mode is a standard career mode that has been done better in previous installments. The Universe mode, where players can create their own wrestling shows and storylines, also feels like a missed opportunity. It lacks depth and customization options, making it feel repetitive after a while.

One aspect of WWE 2K22 that deserves praise is its roster. The game features an impressive lineup of current WWE superstars, legends, and NXT talent. It is always exciting to see your favorite wrestlers represented in the game, and the attention to detail in their character models and movesets is commendable.

Overall, WWE 2K22 is a game that shows promise but falls short in several areas. While the improved graphics and roster are highlights, the clunky presentation, inconsistent AI, and lackluster game modes hold it back from being a truly great wrestling game. If you're a die-hard wrestling fan, you may still find some enjoyment in WWE 2K22, but for casual players or those looking for a fresh and innovative wrestling experience, this game may disappoint.
