Troll and I is an action-adventure game that attempts to combine elements of platforming, puzzle-solving, and combat. Set in a Nordic landscape, the game follows the journey of a young boy named Otto and his unlikely companion, a mythical troll. While the concept may sound promising, the execution leaves much to be desired.

One of the biggest issues with Troll and I is its poor gameplay mechanics. The controls are clunky and unresponsive, making it frustrating to maneuver Otto and the troll through the environments. This is especially noticeable during combat sequences, where the sluggish controls often lead to unnecessary deaths.

Furthermore, the AI in the game is severely lacking. Both enemy and friendly AI exhibit strange behaviors and inconsistent decision-making. This not only breaks the immersion but also hampers the overall gameplay experience.

The narrative of Troll and I also falls flat. The story starts off with an interesting premise but quickly becomes predictable and cliché. The characters lack depth, and their dialogue feels forced and unnatural. As a result, it becomes difficult to truly care about the outcome of their journey.

Visually, Troll and I is a mixed bag. While the environments can be stunning at times, the character models and animations are subpar. The game suffers from numerous graphical glitches and technical issues that further detract from the immersion.

On a positive note, the sound design in Troll and I is quite good. The atmospheric background music and ambient sounds effectively create a sense of tension and adventure. However, this alone is not enough to save the overall experience.

In conclusion, Troll and I is a disappointing adventure that fails to live up to its potential. The clunky controls, poor AI, underwhelming narrative, and technical issues make it hard to recommend this game. While it may appeal to some die-hard fans of the genre, most players will find themselves frustrated and unsatisfied. It's best to steer clear of Troll and I and look elsewhere for a more enjoyable gaming experience.
