The Sims 4: Horse Ranch is an expansion pack for the popular life simulation game. As a long-time fan of The Sims series, I was excited to try out this new addition. However, I was left feeling disappointed and underwhelmed.
One of the biggest issues with The Sims 4: Horse Ranch is the lack of content. There are only a handful of new gameplay features, and they quickly become repetitive and boring. Taking care of the horses feels like a chore rather than an enjoyable activity. The interactions with the animals are limited and lack depth, leaving you with little to do other than feed, groom, and ride them.
Furthermore, the graphical quality of the horses is subpar. The animations are clunky and unnatural, making it difficult to feel connected to the virtual pets. The customization options for the horses are also limited, with only a few basic coat colors and markings available.
The lack of variety in the horse-related activities is another major flaw. The game quickly becomes repetitive as you engage in the same few interactions over and over again. There is a missed opportunity to include more diverse equestrian sports and competitions, which would have added much-needed excitement and replay value.
In terms of performance, The Sims 4: Horse Ranch is plagued with bugs and glitches. The game frequently crashes, and the AI behavior of the horses is often erratic. These technical issues make it frustrating to play, and it feels like the development team rushed the release without properly testing and optimizing the expansion pack.
Given the high expectations for The Sims 4: Horse Ranch, it's disappointing to see the lack of effort put into the development of this expansion. The limited content, poor graphical quality, repetitive gameplay, and technical issues make it difficult to recommend. Unless you are a die-hard fan of horses and are willing to overlook these flaws, I suggest giving this expansion a pass.
