Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate - Deluxe Edition is a handheld spin-off of the popular Batman Arkham series. While it tries to bring the Batman experience to handheld devices, it falls short in many aspects.

Firstly, the graphics of the game are a major letdown. The character models lack detail and the environments feel bland and uninspired. It's a shame considering how visually stunning the main games in the series are. The low-quality graphics take away from the immersive experience that the Batman Arkham series is known for.

Another major issue with the game is its controls. The combat system, which is one of the highlights of the main games, feels clunky and unresponsive on a handheld device. The touch screen controls are awkward and make it difficult to perform precise actions. It affects the overall enjoyment of the game and makes it frustrating to play.

The level design in Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate - Deluxe Edition is also lacking. The levels feel repetitive, with very little variety in the environments. This makes the game feel monotonous and boring after a while. It lacks the creativity and excitement that the main games in the series offer.

On a positive note, the story of the game is intriguing and keeps you engaged throughout. It serves as a prequel to Batman Arkham Origins and provides some interesting backstory to the main game. The voice acting is also top-notch, with familiar voices from the main series reprising their roles.

However, despite its few redeeming qualities, Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate - Deluxe Edition fails to deliver a satisfying handheld Batman experience. The lackluster graphics, clunky controls, and repetitive level design make it difficult to recommend to fans of the main series.

In conclusion, while Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate - Deluxe Edition has its moments with a good story and voice acting, its shortcomings in graphics, controls, and level design make it a disappointing spin-off. Fans of the main series are better off sticking to the main games and giving this one a skip.
